About the Role:

As a Medical Coding Analyst / Hospital Inpatient Coder at Solventum, you will play a crucial role in supporting healthcare innovation through expert facility coding practices. This role requires advanced knowledge of inpatient medical coding, problem resolution skills, and the ability to support Solventum’s Coding and Reimbursement system with precision and professionalism.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply expert knowledge of inpatient facility coding, including grouping/editing guidelines.

  • Respond to customer support inquiries regarding coding, grouping, and editing.

  • Provide well-researched, professional written responses and educational insights.

  • Troubleshoot customer issues in the Solventum Coding and Reimbursement system.

  • Build credibility with Solventum’s HIS customers by providing effective coding solutions.


Required Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:

    • Associate’s degree or higher with 5+ years of coding experience, OR

    • High school diploma/GED with 7+ years of coding experience.

  • Certifications:

    • RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expert-level knowledge of:

    • CPT Assistant

    • ICD-10-CM Guidelines

    • AHA Coding Clinic

    • APC Grouper and NCCI system

    • CMS website navigation

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Deep understanding of the healthcare industry.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
