Job Title: Medical Coder – Evaluation & Management (E&M)

Location: Noida, India

Job Description:

The Medical Coder – Evaluation & Management (E&M) is responsible for analyzing medical records and accurately assigning E&M codes while ensuring compliance with coding standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze medical records to identify services provided during patient evaluations.
  • Assign appropriate E&M codes based on the level of service rendered.
  • Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS guidelines.
  • Stay updated with coding regulations from CMS, AMA, and other governing bodies.
  • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with billing and revenue cycle teams for accurate claims submission.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify coding errors and ensure quality.
  • Participate in coding compliance programs to maintain accuracy and standards.

Job Requirements:

  • CPC, CCS-P, or CRC certification is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of E&M coding guidelines and principles.
  • Proficiency in coding software and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Compliance-oriented mindset with a strong understanding of healthcare regulations.
