Location: 250 Miller Place, Hicksville, NY 11801
Hours: Flexible Daytime Hours
Full-Time: Benefits eligible
Hybrid On-Site: Position requires in-office attendance at least 1-3 days per week; not fully remote.

In this role, you will:

  • Research and reconcile denied and unpaid medical claims, including no fault and workers’ compensation claims.
  • Collect reimbursements by reviewing insurance carriers' reject reports, EOBs, and correspondence.
  • Use established protocols to contact providers and clients to resolve discrepancies in processed, partially paid, and unpaid claims, ensuring timely follow-up actions.
  • Provide customer service support, including answering patient calls, as assigned by your supervisor.
  • Review claims for potential refunds to insurance and/or patients.
  • Research claims rejected by the clearinghouse.
  • Complete other necessary tasks to collect on unpaid claims as directed.

All you need is:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Medical Billing Certification (preferred).
  • Coding Certification (a plus).
  • Laboratory experience (a plus).
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • At least two years of experience in denials or accounts receivable (preferred).

Salary Range: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials may apply. Sonic Healthcare USA reserves the right to adjust compensation based on various factors.

Additional Information:

This role will have routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI). Employees will receive training on confidentiality and are expected to comply with privacy and security standards.
