Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team in White Plains, MD. The ideal candidate will assist physicians in delivering outstanding dermatology care while ensuring smooth operations in the clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care:
    • Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examinations.
    • Assist physicians with exams, minor procedures, and treatments.
    • Provide instructions to patients regarding medications, wound care, and follow-up care.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Ensure all lab reports, test results, and patient medical information are updated and available prior to appointments.
    • Triage and process patient phone calls efficiently.
    • Maintain accurate documentation in patient medical charts.
  • Clinical Support:
    • Clean and stock exam rooms to ensure they are ready for each patient.
    • Sterilize instruments following proper protocols and infection control guidelines.
    • Assist with preparing and maintaining supplies for patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Medical assisting certification preferred but not required.
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in a medical assisting role is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
    • Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Knowledge of dermatology procedures and terminology is a plus.
