Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in Appleton, WI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting healthcare providers in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of clinical and administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Support:
Prepare exam rooms and equipment for patient visits.
Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures.
Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and administering injections.
Patient Care:
Ensure patient comfort and satisfaction by addressing concerns and maintaining a professional demeanor.
Educate patients on prescribed treatments and medication management.
Administrative Duties:
Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Handle insurance verification and billing tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
Experience: Minimum 0-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in EHR systems such as Epic is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance.
CPR certification is a plus.
