Responsibilities:

  • Expertise Development: Build and maintain deep medical/scientific expertise for assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Compliance & Material Review: Review and approve medical and marketing materials, ensuring compliance with legal and internal regulations.
  • Medical Activities: Plan, execute, and evaluate the effectiveness of local medical activities.
  • External Engagement:
    • Collaborate with external experts, clinicians, and scientific societies to promote awareness of Boehringer Ingelheim's products.
    • Lead medical initiatives such as advisory boards and symposia.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with marketing teams to co-create and execute the Integrated Brand Plan (IBP) and Customer Plan (ICP).
    • Utilize innovative communication channels, including digital platforms.
  • Data Generation: Lead real-world data projects, including non-interventional studies, IIS, and compassionate use programs.
  • Stakeholder Interaction: Collaborate with regulatory authorities, patient organizations, and other relevant groups.
  • Leadership: Act as a therapeutic area expert and collaborate across functions to execute business and medical activities.

Requirements:

  • Education: MD or degree in medicine, pharmacy, or biological sciences.
  • Experience:
    • Prior experience in medical affairs or clinical settings is preferred.
    • Business background (sales/marketing) is an asset.
    • Knowledge in drug development, pharmacovigilance, and regulatory affairs is advantageous.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to interpret scientific data into actionable clinical insights.
    • Strong organizational, analytical, and strategic decision-making skills.
    • Effective leadership, networking, and communication capabilities.
    • Digital proficiency and experience in digital communication.
    • Proactive and collaborative mindset.
