The Opportunity

Teva is seeking a Medical Science Liaison Officer (MSLO) in the CNS (Central Nervous System)/Migraine therapy area. The MSLO will be responsible for providing non-promotional scientific support to healthcare professionals and maintaining an in-depth understanding of the CNS and Migraine therapy areas. This role involves building professional relationships with clinicians, external experts, and academic centers, and ensuring compliance with regulations such as the IPHA Code of Practice and HPRA regulations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Therapeutic Area Focus:

    • Focus on CNS and Migraine therapy area, keeping up-to-date with scientific advancements and product knowledge.
  • Compliance and Regulations:

    • Ensure adherence to statutory requirements, including compliance with IPHA Code of Practice, HPRA regulations, and Teva internal processes on Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory legislation.
  • Scientific and Technical Support:

    • Provide scientific support and maintain relationships with clinicians, decision-makers, experts, and academic centers.
    • Stay knowledgeable about the NHS and HSE systems, ensuring that data supports relevant medical strategies.
  • Presentations and Medical Education:

    • Develop and deliver scientific presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Identify educational needs and develop materials to address these gaps.
  • Collaboration:

    • Work collaboratively with teams in Medical Information and Marketing, ensuring effective dissemination of scientific knowledge.
  • Research and Congress Involvement:

    • Attend and contribute to national and international congresses. Distribute important findings within and outside the company.
  • Training and Promotional Material Development:

    • Provide therapy area-specific training for field-based and office-based staff.
    • Review and develop promotional materials in compliance with the IPHA Code of Practice.
  • Support Investigative Studies:

    • Assist with clinical investigations and the approval processes for investigative studies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree:
    • A Pharmacy degree or higher (e.g., PhD) in a relevant scientific or medical field.
  • Experience:
    • Proven career as a Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) or similar field-based role within the pharmaceutical industry.
    • Experience in CNS or migraine therapy areas would be an advantage.
  • Skills:
    • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in data analysis and project management.

Additional Requirements

  • Travel:
    • Willingness to travel widely to cover the assigned territory and stay overnight when necessary.
  • International Travel:
    • Ability to travel internationally as the business demands.
  • Self-Starting and Flexible:
    • Must be a confident, enthusiastic self-starter and a flexible team player.
