Job Title: Medical Advisor


Job Responsibilities

Strategic/Policy

  • Provide tactical and strategic insights and business/technical expertise to Product Management to ensure the ethical promotion of assigned products.
  • Uphold the scientific, technical, and ethical standards of the organization, aligning policies and statements with regulatory and industry benchmarks.

Operational

Medical Initiatives/Support for Allocated Portfolio:

  • Contribute to the development of marketing and medical development plans, including strategic support for medical-marketing and clinical programs.
  • Review, approve, and initiate promotional materials, training resources, and Continuing Medical Education (CME) content, ensuring compliance with SOPs, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Conduct and facilitate educational and promotional engagements with Health Care Professionals (HCPs) through advisory boards, scientific symposia, CME programs, and institutional presentations.

Clinical Research:

  • Design, review, and approve clinical study documents, including protocols, informed consent forms, and patient information sheets.
  • Support the development and submission of Investigational New Drug Applications (NDAs).
  • Interpret clinical data, draft final study reports, and execute publication plans for locally sponsored studies.
  • Develop and manage information dissemination programs, ensuring the effective communication of research outcomes.

Medical Information:

  • Provide timely, accurate, and balanced medical information to both internal teams and external HCPs, adhering to relevant SOPs and guidelines.

Sales Force Training:

  • Deliver comprehensive medical training to sales teams, covering basic sciences, therapeutic areas, and product-specific information.
  • Conduct pre-launch and launch training for new products and ongoing refresher training for existing products.

New Product Planning/Development:

  • Assist the New Product Planning (NPP) team with business case preparation and pre-commercialization activities, including stakeholder mapping and early access programs.
  • Evaluate and recommend new product opportunities for licensing, acquisitions, or co-promotions.
  • Facilitate internal and regional approvals for local formulations or line extensions through literature reviews and the Request for Development (RFD) process.

Regulatory

  • Provide medical expertise for the registration of new products and indications, including presenting scientific evidence to regulatory authorities and liaising with HCPs for support.
  • Defend marketed products against regulatory, NGO, and media challenges.
  • Write, revise, and review product labeling documents for pipeline and local products.
  • Support adverse event (AE) reporting processes, ensuring compliance with SOPs and guidelines.
