Position Summary

Novo Nordisk is seeking a Medical Advisor to serve as a therapy area expert in diabetes, lead medico-marketing initiatives, and foster scientific engagement across stakeholders. This role plays a pivotal part in medical strategy execution, new data generation, scientific communication, and cross-functional collaboration.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a therapy area expert for assigned products/portfolio in diabetes.

  • Lead and implement medico-marketing activities aligned with the overall medical affairs strategy.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the therapy area, competitor landscape, and product positioning.

  • Develop and manage relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and patient groups.

  • Contribute to Real-World Evidence (RWE) generation projects.

  • Provide scientific support to clinical operations, including SEC submissions, site selection, and recruitment.

  • Collaborate with professional bodies to strengthen scientific advocacy and partnerships.

  • Identify, plan, and execute scientific publications to bridge data gaps.

  • Support new product launches in coordination with regulatory and marketing teams.

  • Conduct internal training for sales teams and external education through CMEs, workshops, and conferences.

  • Handle medical queries regarding NNIPL products and ensure compliant off-label response management.

  • Participate in congresses, advisory boards, and scientific events to maintain engagement and visibility.


Qualifications

Must-Have

  • MBBS/MD/MS from a recognized institution.

  • Minimum 2.5 years of experience in medical affairs within the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Deep understanding of diabetes as a therapy area.

  • Strong communication, relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Experience in medico-marketing strategy and execution.

Nice-to-Have

  • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and promotional compliance.

  • Prior experience in a similar medical advisor role in pharma.
