Position: Medical & Scientific Relations Advisor (MSR) – Hemophilia (12-Month Temporary Contract)

Position Purpose

As a Medical & Scientific Relations Advisor (MSR), you will establish and strengthen scientific partnerships with local Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) through a qualified, evidence-based approach. You will be accountable for medical and scientific matters in the therapeutic area, contributing to access and advocacy efforts. Your role includes developing and executing a country-specific medical plan that aligns with Pfizer's strategic goals.


Main Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a network of relationships with local KOLs and scientific institutions to support Pfizer’s scientific and medical leadership.
  • Share accurate and up-to-date scientific information through one-on-one and group "Medical to Medical" communication.
  • Prepare and deliver scientific presentations and talks.
  • Disseminate new clinical data on Pfizer medicines in compliance with product labeling and company policies.
  • Act as the in-field medical expert in hemophilia and rare diseases.
  • Plan and participate in symposia, advisory boards, and opinion leader meetings.
  • Manage Investigator-Initiated Research (IIR)/Non-Interventional Studies (NIS) and research grants, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle unsolicited inquiries about off-label drug use in compliance with regulations and Pfizer policies.
  • Promote Pfizer’s medical education programs, congresses, and scientific strategies at the regional level.
  • Support internal training for commercial teams, enhancing their knowledge of clinical data and Pfizer’s medicines.
  • Monitor and assess competitor drugs and activities.
  • Track internal activities and field visits through regular metric reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Pfizer policies and regulatory requirements in all activities.

Education, Skills, and Professional Experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Medical or scientific qualification (M.D., Ph.D., or Pharm.D. preferred).
  • Master’s degree in Pharma Industry, Biotechnology, or related fields with experience in Medical Affairs.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) or similar role.
  • Background or clinical experience in hemophilia or rare diseases is highly desirable.
  • Native Spanish speaker with Upper Intermediate English proficiency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, both scientific and non-scientific.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Affairs, Drug Safety, Legal, and Compliance.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Customer-focused with a science-based approach.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (field-based role).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in medical writing and submitting papers to peer-reviewed journals.
  • In-depth understanding of the local healthcare environment at national and regional levels.
  • Knowledge of drug development, clinical research, and health economics.
  • Familiarity with pharmacovigilance, regulatory legislation, and relevant codes of practice.
