Position Overview:

The Quality Control Inspector will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections at our Peapack, NJ production facility and with our offsite vendors. We manufacture sophisticated capital equipment following ISO 9001: 2015, ASME Section VIII Div. 1, and applicable AWS welding standards. This role involves a broad range of hands-on inspections on a diverse mix of parts, working under the direction of our Quality Assurance Manager, and utilizing our ERP system to enter and resolve quality issues.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret GD&T drawing specifications.
  • Precision Measurement: Use precision measurement and test equipment to make accurate measurements.
  • Inspection Response: Respond quickly to production and engineering requests for inspection.
  • Communication: Efficiently communicate and document inspections using email and ERP systems.
  • Welding Inspection: Perform welding inspections, including NDT, and adhere to AWS/ASME codes.
  • Material Inspection: Inspect raw materials per applicable ASME or ASTM material specifications.
  • Electric Control Panels: Perform inspections for proper operations.
  • Certification: Experience with welding inspection/CWI certification is a must.
  • Auditing: Certified or experienced in ISO 9001: 2015 auditing is a plus.
  • Manual Equipment: Experience with manual precision measurement equipment as needed.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • QA/QC Experience: 2+ years of QA/QC experience in a capital equipment manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Degree: Post-college technical degree with a four-year engineering degree preferred.
  • Manufacturing Experience: Experience with job shop manufacturing and/or large complex capital equipment projects.
  • Hands-on Manufacturing: Hands-on experience in welding or machine shop environments.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • QA/QC Experience: 2+ years of QA/QC experience in a capital equipment manufacturing environment.
