Job Description: Managing Consultant

Navitas Life Sciences is seeking a Managing Consultant to lead client relationships, deliver consultancy projects, and drive business development. This key role involves overseeing a portfolio of consultancy projects, ensuring the effective delivery of client solutions, and contributing to business growth.

Core Responsibilities:

Project Leadership:

  • Client Engagement: Lead project delivery from initial briefing to final delivery, serving as the primary client contact.
  • Project Scope & Planning: Work with clients to define project requirements, scope, and prepare business cases and statements of work.
  • Project Management: Develop project management plans, structures, controls, and reporting tools; manage and track scope, deliverables, risks, issues, dependencies, and timelines.
  • Resource & Profitability Management: Drive project resources and ensure profitability.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Provide expertise and leadership in client solutions, contributing to the Navitas Life Sciences brand.

Business Development:

  • Revenue Generation: Market Navitas Life Sciences services, aiming to contribute to revenue growth and achieve a sales target of $500k.
  • New Business Development: Conduct business development activities, develop client-focused proposals, and extend relationships with 4-5 clients.

Team Management:

  • Mentorship & Training: Mentor, train, and coach project team members (2-6 members), fostering teamwork and supporting development.
  • Feedback & Development: Set project objectives, provide routine feedback, and support the professional growth of team members.

Company Leadership & Knowledge Management:

  • Strategic Involvement: Participate in strategic themes, internal projects, and business improvement initiatives.
  • Collateral Development: Develop case studies, new concepts, points of view (PoV), and best practices.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Act as an internal SME, capturing and disseminating knowledge within the company.
  • Leadership Role Model: Lead company meeting sessions and act as a role model.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Industry Experience: 8 years in the Life Sciences industry or consulting, including 4 years in a Senior Consulting role and 3 years in a Pharma industry role.
  • Business Development: At least 2 years in a business development role, with evidence of generating $500k in business.
  • Expertise: In one or more areas such as Patient Safety and Pharmacovigilance, Clinical Development Processes, Labeling, Regulatory Affairs, Risk Management, Quality, and Compliance.
  • Consulting Skills: Strong methodologies/tools knowledge.
  • Communication & Facilitation: Compelling communication and strong facilitation skills.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Proficient in managing senior-level client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Project Management: Skilled in managing complex projects, resources, and ensuring profitability.
  • Leadership: Demonstrates good leadership skills, gravitas, and a proactive, self-starter attitude.

This position requires a dynamic professional with a strong background in the Life Sciences sector, excellent consulting and business development skills, and the ability to lead teams and projects effectively.
