Summarized Purpose:
As part of the Functional Service Partnerships (FSP) Site Payments team, you will manage the complex process of Investigator Payments, a vital function within the FSP Business Unit (BU). Joining our diverse and dynamic team of professionals, you will support key projects and gain insight into payment processes within the clinical trial business.

Discover Impactful Work:

As the Manager of Site Payments, you will lead site payments staff to ensure all project deliverables meet customer expectations and contract specifications. You will manage risks, create site payment processes, and serve as the primary liaison with Sponsors to support FSP BU business development.

A Day in the Life:

  • Line manage functional site payment teams to ensure best-in-class delivery of payments to investigators.
  • Build and expand teams, potentially managing international teams and representing the company at job fairs.
  • Oversee project delivery to ensure individual project targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Provide effective risk management to ensure business continuity.
  • Review and approve time records, expense reports, and leave requests.
  • Manage goal setting, coaching, mentoring, performance management, and employee development.
  • Assist senior leadership with report analysis, metrics, and the development of improvements.
  • Participate in Bid defense meetings and prepare RFI/RFPs, including budget building to support FSP business development.
  • Develop departmental policies, procedures, and training materials as needed.
  • Provide QC and approval of site setups, payments, milestones, budget entries, and issue resolutions.

Keys to Success:

Education:

  • Master’s degree, preferably in Finance.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in the clinical trial industry with leadership responsibilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Clinical Site Payment Process.
  • Experience in FSP business and participation in the RFP/Bid defense process is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Site Payments Platforms, EDC systems, and advanced Excel.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including excellent English.
  • Customer-focused communication style with problem-solving and teamwork capabilities.
  • Solid organizational skills with attention to detail, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven leadership abilities, including effective mentoring and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple time-sensitive tasks efficiently and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Skilled at analyzing project-specific data and producing accurate forecasts.
  • Proficient in learning new software quickly; advanced MS Excel and experience with Site Payment platforms.
  • Understanding of ICH Good Clinical Practices and applicable regulatory and tax regulations.
