Job Summary:
ICON plc, a global leader in healthcare intelligence and clinical research, is looking for a Pharmacovigilance Manager to oversee personnel and operations in safety monitoring, regulatory compliance, and project management within pharmacovigilance services. This role supports safety-related processes such as SAE/Adverse Reactions management, safety reports, and product complaints. The manager will lead a team, ensure regulatory adherence, and improve process efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support the Pharmacovigilance team to meet business objectives.
  • Oversee project monitoring, ensuring goals are met and profitability is maintained.
  • Develop and implement process improvements, ensuring optimal resource allocation and compliance with safety management.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and career development for staff.
  • Engage in business development and maintain client relationships for repeat business.
  • Collaborate with other functional managers and ensure consistency in safety approaches.
  • Participate in audit preparation and respond to audit findings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a healthcare-related or life science field.
  • 3+ years’ experience in pharmacovigilance management in a CRO or BPO.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and analytical skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of clinical development, safety requirements, and pharmacovigilance practices from pre-clinical to post-marketing.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially in English.
