Position Overview: As the Manager of Pharmacovigilance, you will support and oversee project teams to ensure company profitability and meet project goals. Your role will involve developing and implementing processes for continuous improvement, managing resources effectively, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support direct reports in monitoring projects to assure profitability and goal achievement.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor objectives and metrics for assigned teams.
  • Identify and implement process improvements based on project reviews.
  • Manage resources and projections to align project teams with client needs and obligations.
  • Analyze current and future project backlog to provide adequate resources.
  • Build and lead a technical team to perform critical operational tasks.
  • Provide technical oversight on project plans, including Safety Management Plans.
  • Deliver training on department topics and general company processes to staff.
  • Liaise with other functional managers to ensure consistency in safety management.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Review project tasks for compliance with quality management systems.
  • Foster a learning environment that encourages self-improvement and career development.
  • Support staff development through mentorship and performance feedback.
  • Communicate team goals and expectations clearly to direct reports.
  • Participate in recruiting efforts for new employees.
  • Assist with business development initiatives and maintain client relationships.
  • Support audit preparation and respond to findings as needed.
  • Manage vendor relationships and support the Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance as required.
  • Travel (approximately 15%) for domestic and/or international engagements.
  • Oversee safety and medical information call center teams to meet deliverables.

Supervision Given: Works under general supervision with coaching on managerial tasks; operates independently most of the time.
