Role Summary
The Manager, Medical Communications and Content Solutions will lead the creation and execution of global medical content for Oncology within the Global Medical Communications and Content Solutions (MCCS) team. This role encompasses developing a variety of external-facing medical content such as abstracts, manuscripts, congress materials, systematic literature reviews, infographics, videos, multimedia, and other educational resources while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to quality, compliance, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality medical content, including but not limited to abstracts, manuscripts, graphical abstracts, slide decks, systematic literature reviews, plain language summaries, and multimedia educational resources.
  • Conduct in-depth research, organize data, and ensure quality and accuracy in all outputs.
  • Collaborate with medical communication teams, publication committees, congress working groups, and digital content teams to streamline the development process.
  • Engage with graphics, compliance, statistics, and generative AI teams to implement innovative solutions for content development.
  • Ensure all projects meet timelines and comply with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance content strategies.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer on cutting-edge tools, including generative AI platforms.
  • Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and maintain alignment with team goals.

Basic Qualifications

  • Education: Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MBBS/MD, MSc, MPH, or MPharm).
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience developing medical content in the pharmaceutical, academic, CRO, or biotech industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong scientific writing skills with the ability to summarize complex data concisely.
    • Proficiency in statistical and epidemiologic principles relevant to medical research.
    • Expertise in project management and stakeholder engagement.
    • Proficiency with tools such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
    • Clear and effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
    • Familiarity with the application of digital technologies in medical content creation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Oncology or assigned therapeutic areas.
  • ISMPP-CMPP® certification.
  • Multimedia and omnichannel content development expertise.
  • Global professional exposure and rapid adaptability to digital tools.
