Job Overview:

The Manager, Investigator Management Solutions (IMS) is responsible for leading a team of Investigator Management Specialists, overseeing investigator payments, and ensuring compliance with financial and contractual obligations. This role involves managing project workflows, optimizing payment processes, and driving efficiency within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Investigator Management Specialists, including professional development and performance appraisals.
  • Assign project work, review workloads, and establish goals for team members.
  • Oversee investigator payment tracking, ensuring timely release of payments and sponsor billing.
  • Review and interpret sponsor and site contracts to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely sponsor reporting.
  • Maintain and update project trackers to reflect accurate cash deposit balances.
  • Review Accounting master tracker balances and assist with tracking unbilled balances.
  • Support audits by ensuring prompt and accurate completion of audit activities.
  • Oversee investigator payment systems, acting as administrator and identifying training needs.
  • Lead Investigator Payment Administration projects to improve processes and efficiencies.
  • Develop and review metrics on investigator payment productivity, ensuring corrective actions as needed.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to project deliverables related to budget, payment schedules, and deposits.
  • Recommend and implement continuous process improvements within the department.
  • Foster positive cross-functional relationships and participate in cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Progressive financial experience, preferably within a CRO or service industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience.
  • Understanding of legal and contracting parameters preferred.
  • Experience in a contract research organization (CRO) or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate Excel skills.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage challenging priorities in a fast-paced environment.
