About the Job

Maxonic is partnering with a top organization in the immunology space to find a Manager, Global Medical Affairs focused on Hepatitis B. This contractor role is part of the LIFE (Liver, Inflammation, Fibrosis, and Established Products) Medical Affairs organization and reports to the Executive Director of Global Medical Affairs for Hepatitis C. This global position involves the development and execution of strategies for products within the LIFE franchise, requiring a self-starter who can lead both strategic and tactical initiatives.

In this role, you will collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, including teams in Medical Affairs, Scientific Publications, Marketing, Global Commercial Product Strategy, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate deep subject matter expertise on LIFE products and the company pipeline.
  • Prepare presentation materials for internal and external meetings, including Advisory Boards.
  • Serve as an information resource and trainer for company colleagues, including Medical Scientists.
  • Support data generation activities through critical review of global ISRs and management of the HBV Phase IV portfolio.
  • Serve as a therapeutic area expert on Global Publications and Scientific Message Platform committees.
  • Provide medical and scientific coverage at key scientific meetings.
  • Oversee the medical and scientific review of promotional materials.
  • Support project leads in the execution and tracking of Global Medical Affairs initiatives.
  • Perform other activities to support LIFE Medical Affairs as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload.
  • Proven teamwork skills with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify complex issues.
  • Experience in public health or Internal Medicine is desirable.
  • Ability to develop effective abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations for scientific meetings.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations, ICH guidelines, and GCPs.
  • Ability to work autonomously and participate in meetings across different time zones.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for conferences, including occasional weekend travel.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees (M.D., D.O., PhD, or PharmD) preferred, especially in hepatology or infectious diseases.
  • Preferred experience in Medical Affairs and/or Clinical Research, including Phase IIIb and IV studies.
