Job Title: Manager, Global Medical Affairs (Hepatitis B)

Job Description

We are seeking a Manager for Global Medical Affairs within the LIFE (Liver, Inflammation, Fibrosis, and Established Products) Medical Affairs organization. This contractor role reports to the Executive Director of Global Medical Affairs for Hepatitis C. This global position involves the development and execution of comprehensive strategies for products within the LIFE franchise, with a unique opportunity to engage closely with Hepatitis B initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Demonstrate deep knowledge of LIFE products, pipeline developments, and competitive offerings.

  • Presentation Preparation: Create presentation materials for internal and external meetings, including Advisory Boards.

  • Training and Support: Act as a resource and trainer for colleagues, including Medical Scientists, regarding medical educational activities, grants, and investigator-sponsored or collaborative studies.

  • Data Generation Support:

    • Critically review global Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR) proposals and Phase 3b and Phase 4 study proposals.
    • Manage the Hepatitis B Phase IV portfolio, collaborating with clinical operations and local affiliates.
    • Review abstracts and manuscripts stemming from the Phase IV program.
    • Document and manage the status of Phase IV studies.
  • Publications and Scientific Messaging: Serve as a therapeutic area expert on Global Publications and Scientific Message Platform committees, supporting scientific communications.

  • Scientific Meeting Support: Provide medical and scientific coverage at key scientific meetings.

  • Project Management: Assist project leads in executing and tracking Global Medical Affairs plans, publications, and reviews of medical and commercial assets.

  • Review Oversight: Oversee the medical and scientific review of promotional materials for GRC and MRC.

  • Additional Activities: Engage in other activities as assigned to support LIFE Medical Affairs.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required; an M.D., D.O., PhD in biological or pharmaceutical sciences, or PharmD is preferred.
  • Prior experience in hepatology, infectious diseases, virology, or clinical virology is advantageous.
  • Preferred experience in Medical Affairs and/or Clinical Research, including Phase IIIb and IV studies, clinical trial management, medical monitoring, and scientific expertise.
