Position Summary

The Manager, Clinical and Safety Analytics, plays a crucial role in the PV Analytics Center of Excellence. This role involves gathering stakeholder requirements, analyzing data, developing visualizations and dashboards, and communicating insights to stakeholders.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Collaboration and Analysis

    • Work closely with clinical and safety stakeholders to understand their needs and develop analytical solutions.
    • Perform data cleaning, transformation, and engineering to ensure data quality and compatibility.
    • Create and implement data analysis plans to address clinical and safety queries.
    • Apply analytical and statistical methods to derive insights and answer key questions.
  • Data Visualization and Communication

    • Develop user-friendly dashboards and visualizations to address critical clinical, safety, and regulatory questions.
    • Communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively, ensuring clear interpretation of data.
    • Contribute to qualitative and quantitative research projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams (e.g., Pharmacovigilance, Epidemiology, Biostats).
  • Innovation and Expertise

    • Continuously explore new tools and technologies, evaluating and improving our analytics and data visualization platforms.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert in analytics and business intelligence, sharing knowledge and best practices with the organization.
    • Foster a culture of inclusivity and respect, encouraging constructive dialogue and questioning.

Skills & Competencies

  • Data Handling

    • Deep understanding of data sources such as clinical trial data, electronic health records, and healthcare databases.
    • Proficiency in data pre-processing, cleaning, and transformation techniques.
  • Analytical Expertise

    • Knowledge of analytical and statistical methodologies (e.g., regression analysis, survival analysis).
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets.
  • Communication and Collaboration

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills for conveying complex concepts.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.

Experience

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: At least 5 years of experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and/or data visualization, preferably within the biopharma or healthcare industry.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with statistical and analytical techniques applied to clinical and real-world data, proficiency in Python, R, SAS, SQL, and visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. Tableau is preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience or familiarity with the biopharma industry is advantageous.

Work Environment
