Job Description: Business Application Manager

Job Overview:

The Business Application Manager serves as the key liaison between PCC system users, software support vendors, and internal IT teams. This role involves advising and assisting PCC business users in defining and implementing strategic application development and integration to support critical business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirement Gathering:

    • Collaborate with users to define user requirements, functional requirements, and technical specifications. Ensure business sign-off on these requirements.
  • Project Management:

    • Lead the implementation of business applications and systems, including Salesforce, Docusign Contract Management, and other non-ERP applications.
    • Oversee multiple business-specific application rollouts for Sales and Finance departments.
    • Manage IT project teams and external vendors throughout project lifecycles.
  • Business Partnership:

    • Act as the IT Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for business teams, maintaining strong partnerships and ensuring alignment of IT solutions with business needs.
    • Facilitate knowledge transfer to the IT support team and manage change requests.
  • System Integration & Transition:

    • Work closely with business users to review and validate proposed design solutions.
    • Coordinate system changes and ensure smooth transitions in affected business areas.
  • Vendor Management:

    • Onboard and manage external vendor teams to support ongoing business applications.
  • Budget Management:

    • Propose and manage IT budgets (OPEX & CAPEX), ensuring best value and quality in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Stakeholder Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction and managing expectations.
    • Present monthly project status updates to the IT Steering Committee and provide daily updates to the Manager and Senior Management.
  • Collaboration & Compliance:

    • Work closely with Corporate/Central IT teams—covering IT security, infrastructure, SAP, and validation—to implement business-specific systems.
    • Ensure proper integration of different systems and data migrations.

Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in leading business application projects, preferably within the pharmaceutical or medical device industries.
  • Strong project management skills, with PMP or other advanced certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Timesheet Systems) and office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with cloud-based systems like Salesforce.com CRM, contract management, and order processing systems.
