Position Overview

As a member of the Safety Operations team within Global Patient Safety (GPS), you will serve as a subject matter expert for literature review and intake activities. Your role will involve reviewing literature abstracts and articles and processing the corresponding safety cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review weekly literature abstracts to identify valid and invalid safety cases.
  • Order full-text literature articles as needed and evaluate them for safety case creation.
  • Process and intake valid and invalid safety cases derived from your reviews.
  • Conduct quality control checks on abstract and article reviews, both in-line and retrospectively.
  • Train and certify new hires on literature review and intake processes.
  • Order copyrights and translations when required.
  • Perform follow-up activities for literature cases.

Qualifications:

  • Medical and clinical knowledge.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a team environment.
  • Capacity to work under strict deadlines and adapt to changing priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency in the Pharmacovigilance Safety System and Literature Tracking Tool.
