Job Purpose:

Enhancing customer experience by identifying pressing healthcare needs and providing effective pharmaceutical solutions to achieve corporate goals. This role involves establishing a sales strategy through market research, achieving individual and team sales targets using patient-focused selling principles, and building relationships with key stakeholders, including doctors, paramedics, retailers, and stockists.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Territory Planning:

  • Develop a comprehensive territory business plan, setting strategic goals and resource investments while monitoring progress.
  • Refresh and update the Market Call List (MCL) based on market analysis and prepare a targeted retail call list.
  • Create a patch plan based on customer availability, prioritizing business opportunities.
  • Track weekly sales data to identify trends and adjust plans as necessary to achieve targets.

Product Promotion and Education:

  • Communicate the value proposition and therapeutic benefits of Lilly's biopharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct product presentations and educational seminars to enhance customer understanding and usage.
  • Stay current with scientific and clinical data relevant to assigned therapeutic areas and share this information with customers.
  • Provide scientific support, addressing inquiries and concerns from healthcare professionals.

Conducting Customer Calls:

  • Meet the required number of customer calls as per SPP targets and collect competitor insights.
  • Plan pre-call objectives tailored to customer needs and conduct effective post-call analyses using approved CRM tools.
  • Use sales materials to effectively address customer questions and concerns.
  • Strengthen relationships with all stakeholders to achieve assigned sales targets.

Customer Paramedic Staff and Retailer Engagement:

  • Develop and implement quarterly engagement plans for doctors, ensuring effective logistics and coordination.
  • Conduct programs to enhance paramedic staff knowledge, adhering to compliance guidelines.
  • Engage with stockists regularly, analyzing sales trends and verifying stock availability.

Sales and SPP Reporting:

  • Ensure timely reporting of doctor and retailer interactions, detailing program outcomes and medical service requests.
  • Present sales trends in monthly reviews, highlighting achievements and challenges.

Compliance:

  • Uphold ethical standards in all activities, respecting privacy and internal/external procedures.

Core Capabilities/Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic areas and product segments.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and driven to make a difference.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales (2-5 years preferred for Territory Manager).
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth, with MNC experience preferred.
  • Prior on-field experience is advantageous.
