Organization Overview:

The Clinical Operations Analytics Associate will play a pivotal role in enhancing the management of clinical trials by designing, implementing, and refining operational dashboards and analytics. Collaborating closely with teams across LRL, CDDA, IT, and other R&D units, the associate will drive improvements in data collection, integration, retrieval, and visualization.

Key Responsibilities:

Systems Development and Management:

  • Maintain and expand knowledge of clinical trial systems within CDDA.
  • Collaborate across functions and regions to build and enhance systems for operational reporting and analytics.
  • Quickly address system issues to ensure continuous access to critical operational data, applying root cause analysis as needed.
  • Deliver high-quality, timely, and insightful outputs to stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction and value.
  • Continuously improve product functionality and efficiency by responding to customer feedback and integrating new technologies.
  • Document changes effectively and develop user training materials, including job aids and FAQs.
  • Partner with vendors and support system testing as required.
  • Develop and maintain relevant metrics.

Analytics and Insights:

  • Develop and provide operational reports, metrics, and analytics based on a deep understanding of the clinical development process.
  • Follow established business processes for data integration and presentation of analytics.
  • Serve as a technical resource for reporting and analytics.
  • Identify project risks and issues, and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Enhance mechanisms for consolidating, sharing, and reporting trends in clinical operational data.
  • Seek opportunities to improve analytics delivery through new or enhanced systems.
  • Create engaging visual outputs to facilitate effective communication and decision-making across diverse customer groups.
  • Lead projects aimed at developing or enhancing analytics for user groups.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical science, computer science, engineering, statistics, or a related field.
  • Practical experience in analytics (data wrangling, data modeling, data mining, metrics, reporting, and visualizations).
  • Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools and languages (e.g., Power BI, PowerApp, Excel, R, RShiny, AWS, SQL, DAX).
  • Strong ability to deliver clear and concise data interpretation and communication.

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience with clinical data in the pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, or regulatory sectors.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and quality requirements in clinical development.
  • Familiarity with clinical trial systems such as Planisware, Impact, Oracle, and Veeva Suite.
  • Experience with Agile Development and the AWS ecosystem.
  • Experience in predictive and prescriptive analytics.
  • Proven ability to deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated proactive approach to process improvement and project management.
  • High learning agility, strong written and verbal communication skills, and excellent collaboration abilities.
  • Strong business acumen and exceptional customer focus.
