Position Overview: As a Laboratory Support Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting laboratory personnel to produce high-quality results while adhering to established quality standards. Your responsibilities will include maintaining technical qualifications and licensure documents, triaging issues from the management system, assisting with referral test reporting, and reviewing quality documentation for compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to a culture of process improvement, streamlining processes to add value to our business and meet client needs.
  • Assist the Laboratory Operations Director with quality monitoring tasks, including maintaining employee records and laboratory records.
  • Perform additional administrative duties, such as scheduling meetings, taking minutes, setting reminders, and generating operations reports.
  • Triaging issues from the Issue Manager and assisting with data entry of results.
  • Support lab management with filing, archiving data, and maintaining quality documentation.
  • Manage referral test reporting and maintain logs for send-out specimens and laboratory reports.
  • Assist with inventory management and participate in required Continuous Professional Education programs.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or local equivalent; Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in using and creating spreadsheets in Excel, along with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal lab management and external consultants.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to conform to standard operating procedures with a systematic approach to tasks.
  • Customer-focused, providing reliable and friendly service to internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records in compliance with GCP/GLP/GDP standards.
