Lab Technician - Clinical Research (Dallas, TX)

We are currently seeking a Lab Technician to join our dynamic team in Dallas, TX. In this role, you will interact directly with healthy volunteer participants while gaining experience in clinical research protocols. This is a full-time, office/clinic-based position that offers exposure to a variety of therapeutic indications and study types, including ascending dose, first-in-human, food effect, and drug interactions.

What You'll Do:

As a Lab Technician, you will apply your skills and clinical judgment to provide high-quality care in clinical research settings. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Following laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing.
  • Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment.
  • Recognizing and addressing deviations from expected results.
  • Processing and shipping pharmacokinetic (PK) samples according to study-specific instructions.
  • Performing phlebotomy as needed and participating in the collection of biological specimens.
  • Evaluating and solving problems related to specimen collection and processing.
  • Facilitating workflow in the laboratory to ensure timely processing of specimens.
  • Utilizing communication systems within the laboratory (telephones, copiers, etc.).
  • Maintaining laboratory cleanliness and inventory of reagents and supplies.
  • Handling hazardous materials, reagents, and chemicals safely, in accordance with lab policies.
  • Supporting quality system implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree or equivalent; additional laboratory experience may substitute for educational requirements.
  • At least 1 year of laboratory experience is required.
