Job Description: Junior MICC Associate

We are looking for a Junior MICC Associate to join our expanding team within the Medical Information Contact Centre (MICC) for the Pharmacovigilance function. In this role, you will be integral to ensuring the effective handling of medical inquiries and case management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Protection and Compliance:

    • Adhere to global and local regulations to safeguard personal and client-related data in accordance with company policies.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance in handling sensitive information.
  • Case Management:

    • Handle incoming calls and emails related to Adverse Events (AE), Product Quality Complaints (PQC), Medical Information (MI), and General Inquiries (GI).
    • Conduct case intake, duplicate checks, and registration.
    • Follow up on inquiries through phone or email, including translating inquiries if necessary (English or primary language).
    • Ensure timely and accurate data entry of Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) into the safety database.
  • Quality and Efficiency:

    • Review and evaluate AE case information to determine the required actions based on internal policies and procedures.
    • Process cases according to defined quality and productivity standards to meet project Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
    • Code medical history, events, drugs/procedures/indications, and laboratory tests using appropriate dictionaries (e.g., MedDRA, Company Product Dictionary, WHO-DD).
    • Write or review medically relevant safety narratives in chronological order, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
    • Prepare and archive source documents as required.
  • Escalation and Support:

    • Exhibit a detail-oriented, professional demeanor when answering calls and ensure appropriate escalation of issues to supervisors when necessary.
    • Participate in and support audits, addressing Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) in a timely manner.
    • Provide support for other MICC-related activities as needed.
  • Training and Expertise:

    • Complete internal and external training as assigned.
    • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned projects, offering review feedback, mentoring, and training to enhance team quality and performance.
    • Coordinate with other workflows and ensure feedback from Quality Reviewers and Medical Reviewers is addressed.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience:

    • 1-3 years of experience in a Medical Information Contact Centre (MICC) role.
  • Education:

    • Graduate or post-graduate degree in Life Sciences or a related field.
  • Skills:

    • Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and coordination.
    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
