Job Role: Junior Associate - Scientific Writing

Job Description:

The Junior Associate - Scientific Writing will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and fact-checking scientific content in various formats to ensure accuracy and compliance with client and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting content searches from various scientific databases and journals.

  • Performing data fact-checking for promotional materials against source/journal articles.

  • Applying different referencing styles in content development.

  • Gathering content requirements from clients or project management teams.

  • Creating promotional content for medicines/diagnostic tools across multiple channels, including:

    • Detailing aids

    • Promotional emails

    • Brand websites

    • Web advertisements

    • Slide decks

    • Abstracts

    • Leave-behind brochures

    • Posters

    • Infographics

    • Journal ads

    • Dosing cards

  • Managing high-quality medical and scientific communications tailored for different target audiences such as physicians, patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Adhering to documentation specifications provided by the client or company.

  • Reviewing and editing scientific content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance.

  • Collecting customer feedback and supporting the implementation of customer management tactics.


Requirements:

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical industry setting, such as pharmaceutical companies or agencies, in any of the following functions:

      • Medical services

      • Medico-marketing

      • Clinical research

      • Regulatory affairs

      • Medical writing/content development OR

    • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in clinical practice.

  • Candidates with journal publications or conference publications during academia will have an added advantage.

  • Strong understanding of any medical specialty (preferred) or overall pharmaceutical and medical knowledge.

  • Strong flair and passion for writing.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills.

  • Ability to stay updated with the latest scientific developments and relate them to projects.

  • Passion for networking and collaboration.

Good to Have:

  • Experience in journal publishing and/or conference publications.
