Role Overview:

The Senior Manager - Medical Affairs Professional (MAP) plays a key role in Medical Affairs, focusing on obesity. This individual will provide strategic and tactical expertise, working closely with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives and ensure compliance with global standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Scientific Expertise & Medical Affairs Delivery:

    • Develop and contribute to medical plans and strategies for obesity.

    • Lead data analysis, slide development, and publications (e.g., abstracts, posters, manuscripts).

    • Partner with Medical Affairs roles (CRP, CRS, MSL) to deliver medical education and customer experiences.

    • Contribute to insight generation regarding patient journeys, treatment patterns, and unmet needs.

    • Support the execution of data generation plans.

    • Review and create medical information letters in collaboration with the Med Info function.

  2. Cross-Functional Team Collaboration:

    • Serve as the key medical point of contact for the brand team, contributing scientific and strategic input.

    • Provide support for medical launch and contribute to brand strategies.

    • Review promotional materials and ensure alignment with medical knowledge.

    • Oversee the medical components of patient support programs.

    • Lead planning and implementation of scientific events and advisory boards.

  3. Customer Engagement & Experience:

    • Address external customer questions and escalate as needed.

    • Develop and maintain relationships with professional societies and external experts.

    • Coordinate activities to improve customer engagement, using digital innovations.

  4. Collaboration with Regulatory:

    • Support local labeling development and review in collaboration with global and regulatory teams.

    • Provide medical expertise to the regulatory team, supporting local registration and risk management planning.

    • Participate in regulatory agency meetings as a medical expert.

  5. Professional Development:

    • Stay current with industry trends, medical knowledge, and product developments.

    • Complete training for professional growth and adhere to company policies.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Educational Qualification:

    • Core: Degree in Medicine or a related field (MBBS, PhD).

    • Desired: Doctor of Medicine (MD) in clinical or non-clinical subjects.

  • Experience:

    • Core: At least 2 years of industry experience in a medical/scientific role related to the therapeutic area.

    • Desired: 2-3 years of relevant clinical practice experience.

  • Skills:

    • Strong leadership and relationship-building abilities.

    • Capacity to manage complex tasks and prioritize deliverables.

    • Excellent communication skills and scientific data interpretation.

    • High learning agility and problem-solving skills.

    • Proficiency in English.


Other Requirements:

  • Domestic and international travel may be required.

  • Evening/weekend work may be necessary.
