Position Overview:

The Quality Medical Reviewer plays a vital role in reviewing and approving both promotional and non-promotional medical materials to ensure scientific accuracy, clarity, and compliance with Lilly’s guidelines. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, attending review meetings, and ensuring that all content meets the standards of medical accuracy and Lilly's quality processes. The role also focuses on improving the review process to enhance efficiency and quality.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review and Approval of Medical and Promotional Materials:

    • Verify data accuracy and ensure that visual representations and written content align with source documentation and scientific evidence.

    • Ensure clarity and completeness in the presentation of data, following Lilly’s guidelines for accuracy and consistency.

    • Collaborate with teams such as Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Regulatory to review content.

    • Participate in review meetings, providing feedback and ensuring adherence to standards.

  2. Compliance and Quality Assurance:

    • Apply Lilly’s quality standards and CIQ review processes throughout the material review lifecycle.

    • Identify and address any issues, deviations, or recurring problems in the review process, offering solutions to improve workflow and prevent mistakes.

    • Ensure materials are compliant with applicable policies, procedures, and SOPs.

  3. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

    • Work closely with different departments, including brand teams and copyeditors, to review and approve content.

    • Ensure that content is consistent across related documents and integrates well within the context of the larger project.

  4. Efficiency and Process Improvement:

    • Contribute to the development and review of content in a timely manner.

    • Propose and implement corrective actions to eliminate recurring issues and improve the quality review process.


Qualifications:

  • Required Experience:

    • 2-4 years in medical editing, copywriting, or reviewing promotional and medical (non-promotional) content.

    • Strong understanding of scientific, medical, and statistical terminology.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, prioritize tasks, and manage concurrent projects.

  • Additional Preferences:

    • Familiarity with tools such as Veeva Vault, Wrike, or project planning software.

    • Knowledge of therapeutic areas such as oncology, neuroscience, immunology, or endocrinology.

    • Understanding of the US CIQ/MCA framework and experience in writing or reviewing medical communications (e.g., slide decks, patient materials).


Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in scientific, health, or related fields with a formal research component.
