Job Purpose

Enhance the customer experience by identifying pressing needs and delivering pharmaceutical-based healthcare solutions that align with corporate goals. You will establish a sales strategy informed by market research and focus on achieving individual and team sales targets. This role involves engaging with designated doctors in your territory, promoting company products, and strengthening relationships with stakeholders, including doctors, paramedics, retailers, and stockists.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Territory Planning:

  • Develop a comprehensive territory business plan, making strategic decisions about goals and resource allocation.
  • Update and refresh the Market Call List (MCL) based on audits and market analysis, creating a retail call list for key retailers.
  • Prepare a patch plan according to customer availability, prioritizing business opportunities.
  • Track and analyze weekly sales data to identify trends and adjust plans accordingly.

Product Promotion and Education:

  • Communicate the value proposition and therapeutic benefits of Lilly's biopharmaceutical products effectively to healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct presentations, seminars, and training sessions to enhance product understanding and usage.
  • Stay current with scientific and clinical data, sharing relevant information with customers.
  • Provide scientific support and respond to inquiries from healthcare professionals.

Customer Engagement:

  • Meet target call numbers for customers and retailers as per the Sales Performance Plan (SPP).
  • Conduct pre-call planning and post-call analysis to ensure effective customer engagement.
  • Utilize sales materials to address customer questions and concerns.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with all stakeholders to achieve sales targets.

Stockist Management:

  • Regularly engage with stockists to gather sales trend information and conduct stock verification.
  • Ensure a balance between first-line and second-line sales according to company guidelines.
  • Collaborate with stockists and the CFA for order placement and collection.

Sales Reporting:

  • Timely report all customer interactions and program details.
  • Present sales trends and insights during monthly reviews.

Compliance:

  • Adhere to privacy and internal procedures while upholding the highest ethical standards.

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
  • 1 year of experience for Territory Manager or 3-5 years in pharmaceutical sales, preferably in biopharmaceuticals or specialty therapeutics.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets and driving business growth (experience in multinational companies preferred).
  • Prior field experience is a plus.
