Job Summary:

As a Translation Project Coordinator, you will manage the entire lifecycle of basic translation projects. This includes overseeing the work of linguists, language specialists, and desktop publishers. You will plan, schedule, and monitor project progress to ensure quality, timely delivery, and adherence to budget.


Essential Functions:

  • Project Management: Plan, schedule, and manage risk for translation projects, ensuring they remain on track and within scope.
  • Resource Allocation: Assign and manage tasks for linguists, language specialists, and desktop publishers as needed.
  • Client Liaison: Maintain day-to-day communication with clients, providing status updates and resolving project-related issues.
  • Team Communication: Facilitate smooth and effective communication within the project team to ensure collaboration and efficiency.
  • Project Administration: Complete all project-driven administrative and financial processes, ensuring proper documentation and timely completion.
  • KPI Tracking: Collect Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data for assigned clients to evaluate project success and identify areas for improvement.

Job Complexity:

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent formal academic qualification.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of proven project management experience, preferably in life sciences translations. In some cases, a combination of relevant education, training, and/or directly related experience will be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience: 0-2 years in project management, preferably in the life sciences translation field.
  • Tools: Experience with Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) or Translation Management Systems (TMS) is preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to multitask, strong time management, organization skills, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Communication: Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
