Job Overview:

Accenture is seeking a Pharmacovigilance Services Specialist with expertise in Pharmacovigilance & Drug Safety Surveillance. The ideal candidate will have an MBBS degree and 7 to 11 years of experience in pharmacovigilance operations. This role involves managing case identification, data entry, MedDRA coding, case processing, submission, and follow-ups for ICSRs as per client guidelines and global regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Affiliate Mailbox and ensure the reconciliation of reports per process.
  • Perform written follow-ups for both serious and non-serious cases.
  • Analyze and solve moderately complex problems, developing new solutions or adapting existing methods.
  • Align with the strategic direction set by senior management.
  • Engage in upward interaction with direct supervisors and occasional interaction with peers and management at client sites or within Accenture.
  • Provide guidance on new assignments, determining methods and procedures.
  • Manage small teams or individual work efforts, depending on the role.
  • Adhere to client-specific guidelines and global regulatory requirements for safety data management.
  • Work in rotational shifts as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Educational Requirements: MBBS degree.
  • Experience: 7 to 11 years of experience in pharmacovigilance operations and drug safety surveillance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze moderately complex issues.
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance and contribute to the strategic direction of the team.
  • Experience with MedDRA coding and case processing.
  • Experience working in a client-facing role or with a global team is an advantage.
