About the Job

Are you a coding expert with a passion for accuracy in medical records? We’re seeking a dedicated Inpatient/Outpatient Coder to join our client’s team and ensure their coding system operates seamlessly. Whether it’s hospital stays or clinic visits, you’ll apply your skills to assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes that guarantee correct billing and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Review inpatient and outpatient records to assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and clinical teams to clarify documentation and resolve coding issues.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify coding accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Stay updated on coding changes, regulations, and guidelines to maintain current processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience coding inpatient and outpatient services in a healthcare setting.
  • Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or an equivalent credential.
  • Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with healthcare professionals.
