Summary

The Information Specialist – Literature Intelligence role supports various teams, including Pharmacovigilance, Medical Affairs, Medical Information, and Drug Development, by providing literature-related information. This position requires strong literature searching skills and expertise in pharmaceutical databases.

About the Role

Location: Hyderabad | #LI Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, including product terminology, drug nomenclature, drug class hierarchies, and competitor analysis.
  • Utilize databases such as OVID, Embase.com, Pharma projects, Cortellis, Medline, and Pubmed for product information.
  • Construct detailed drug literature search strategies.
  • Understand medical terminology and proficiently create alert strategies.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews and analyses of scientific and technical literature to support health agency requests, product submissions, and formulary reviews.
  • Exhibit advanced bibliographic expertise and information management skills.

Essential Requirements:

  • A Doctorate in Pharmacy or an equivalent scientific background, with an advanced Pharmacy degree or a degree in Life Sciences such as Biology or Pharmacology.
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry or research, focusing on information sciences, knowledge management, or corporate library operations.
  • Proven skills in scientific literature searching, with experience in using pharmaceutical databases and resources. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential. Experience in text mining, NLP, and knowledge graphs is preferred.

  • High learning agility to adopt and implement new tools and technologies, including AI, text mining, ChatGPT, and knowledge graphs.
