What You Will Do

As a Health Economics Manager, you will focus on developing strategies to ensure the pricing, reimbursement, and access of Amgen’s therapies. In this role, you will have a chance to make a significant impact by negotiating reimbursement outcomes, leading Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions, and preparing pricing and reimbursement applications. You will work closely with both internal and external teams to drive outcomes that align with Amgen’s mission and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Reimbursement Strategies: Establish strategies for Amgen products in Australia and New Zealand.
  • HTA Submissions & Negotiations: Collaborate with teams to prepare HTA submissions and negotiate with agencies to ensure reimbursement outcomes.
  • Track Progress: Monitor and track the progress of reimbursement negotiations and ensure timely outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work with global and regional teams to align strategies and ensure patient access.
  • Contribute to Long Range Strategy & Budget: Contribute to long-term strategy and budget planning processes.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and stay informed on industry trends.

What We Expect of You

We are seeking a collaborative, self-motivated, and tech-savvy individual who can thrive in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Degree: Degree in Health Economics, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 4+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector, with a focus on health economics.
  • Industry Experience: Demonstrated experience in Health Economics roles is preferred.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical & Negotiation Skills: Strong analytical skills and experience in negotiating outcomes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Australian Healthcare System: Strong understanding of the Australian healthcare system, including reimbursement and access.
  • Project Management: Strong skills in planning, prioritization, and execution.
  • Residency & Work Rights: Must have residency and work rights in Australia.
