Summary:

The Health Data Insights Manager plays a critical role in generating insights and accelerating high-quality prediction systems. This role integrates patient-level data science and informatics into the clinical trial process, with a strong focus on feasibility using TriNetX and EHR/EMR datasets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of core processes to apply data science and analytics to solve business challenges.
  • Gather and analyze large datasets to identify key analytical opportunities.
  • Communicate and share data insights (Patient Journey, SOC, TriNetX, CLIP configuration, etc.) with the Health Data Insights Director, Associate Director, and Medical/Clinical Teams.
  • Ensure compliance with Novartis standards and guidelines, maintaining quality control and audit readiness.
  • Deliver high-quality analytic solutions that meet specific stakeholder requirements.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and major non-clinical projects requiring advanced analytical expertise.
  • Stay updated on industry trends in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
  • Work closely with the Health Data Insights Director and Associate Director to generate clinical insights supporting PSP.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Optimization of protocol design, patient mapping, and site selection for improved trial recruitment.
  • Timely and high-quality delivery of insights.
  • Adherence to Novartis standards, including quality, ethical, health, safety, and information security standards.

Minimum Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD, or equivalent in Life Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Medical Informatics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Data Science, or relevant fields.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry, or a Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Intelligence, Epidemiology, Public Health, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in predictive modeling, advanced analytics, market intelligence, strategic planning, clinical trial design, feasibility, patient recruitment, or business insights.

Skills:

  • Experience with patient data, including clinical information systems, EMR, and claims data.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical data coding systems and analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in engaging business subject matter experts.
  • High ownership and accountability for results.
  • Strong research skills and ability to develop deep domain knowledge.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization with strong negotiation and partnership-building skills.
  • Understanding of core clinical development functions (data management, strategy, statistical programming, trial management, and monitoring).
  • Language Requirement: English.
