Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Group Product Manager to identify new product opportunities, develop business cases, and implement positioning strategies. This role involves overseeing product launches, creating promotional materials, and ensuring the execution of marketing plans to achieve market share and revenue targets. The role also includes mentoring team members and collaborating with sales teams and healthcare professionals to drive Continuing Medical Education (CMEs).

Roles & Responsibilities

  • New Product Conceptualization and Planning: Identify unmet therapeutic needs, develop new product opportunities, and present business cases to the vertical and country heads.
  • New Product Launch Planning: Prepare product manuals, develop positioning strategies, and oversee product launches by collaborating with sales teams.
  • Post-Launch Audit: Review performance, coordinate with sales teams, and implement corrective actions to meet or exceed sales projections.
  • Branding and Promotions: Conduct market research, finalize positioning strategies, and oversee promotional activities in collaboration with advertising agencies.
  • Continuing Medical Education (CME) Programs: Plan and execute CMEs by identifying needs, inviting speakers, and fostering relationships with healthcare professionals.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Conduct performance appraisals, mentor team members, and collaborate with HR on recruitment and talent development.
  • Sales Planning and Review: Gather feedback from Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), develop region-specific strategies, and incorporate regional needs into product plans.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science-related field.

Experience:

  • 7–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical product management.

  • In-depth knowledge of the Indian pharmaceutical industry, competition, and prescription trends.
  • Strategic thinking for developing and implementing product strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.

  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
