About the Department:

Global Medical Affairs (GMA), Global Business Services (GBS), is an extension of the Global Medical Affairs unit at the headquarters in Denmark and Zurich, with a presence in Bangalore, India. The GMA-GBS team comprises dedicated medical advisors, project managers, and publication managers who work closely with global teams and affiliates. One key sub-unit within GMA-GBS is the Rare Disease Medical Affairs department, specializing in communicating scientific and medical knowledge on Novo Nordisk products, managing medical events, content development, and publication planning in the Rare Diseases therapeutic area.

Position Overview:

The Global Scientific Advisor will be responsible for delivering timely, accurate, and credible medical communication materials for various medical affairs focus areas. This role involves active collaboration across teams and managing communication with both internal and external stakeholders. The advisor will engage with global Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), support clinical activities, and help execute global medical education and communication plans to enhance understanding of clinical profiles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver credible medical communication materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration and communication between medical affairs teams, project managers, and medical illustrators.
  • Support clinical activities driven by global medical affairs, both back-end and on-site.
  • Engage in scientific dialogue with global KOLs and HCPs to enhance understanding of clinical data.
  • Support medical affairs teams with global medical education plans and presentations at meetings, symposia, and personal visits.

Qualifications:

  • Education: PhD in Life Sciences with substantial clinical and/or research expertise in relevant areas (e.g., Haemophilia, Endocrinology, or Internal Medicine).
  • Experience: At least two years of clinical or pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Skills: Strong proficiency in MS PowerPoint presentations and excellent written and spoken English.
  • Research Experience: Demonstrated research experience, including publications.
