The Position:

As a Global Medical Advisor, you will be a key member of the Global Medical Affairs team based in GBS Bangalore. This role will focus on driving medical affairs strategy within the diabetes, obesity, and cardiometabolic portfolio, with particular responsibility for GLP-1 receptor agonists (RA) and insulins. You will contribute to building and disseminating scientific knowledge, engaging with key opinion leaders (KOLs), and collaborating across multiple functions to support global medical strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Medical Expertise: Serve as a scientific leader within the diabetes therapy area, particularly in GLP-1RA and insulins. Build and share credible medical knowledge internally and externally.
  • Pre-Authorization & Marketing: Oversee the pre-authorization of medico-marketing activities and contribute to the development of promotional materials and API updates.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams across Global Development, Regulatory, Safety, Marketing, and Corporate Communication to align strategies and share knowledge.
  • KOL & HCP Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs) to optimize product use and value. Facilitate their understanding of clinical data and protocols.
  • Medical Strategy Execution: Cascade global medical strategies and publication plans to the supported countries, ensuring alignment with brand strategies set by the CBT/GPT.

Qualifications:

  • Education: M.B.B.S and MD (Medical Doctor).
  • Experience: 1+ years of clinical or pharmaceutical development experience.
  • Skills:
    • Experience in clinical medicine, clinical research, and drug development.
    • Understanding of pharma business, marketing practices, and regulations.
    • Experience in writing publications, protocols, and conducting international medical presentations (preferred).
    • Strong professionalism and a willingness to travel.
    • Fluency in spoken and written English.
