Job Overview:

The Field Reimbursement Manager is a part of the Market Access group, supporting Sun’s branded products in the U.S. This role primarily focuses on ensuring appropriate patient access to care by providing support materials and education to practices, accounts, and providers. Key areas of focus include reimbursement, coding, specialty pharmacy, and patient support services.


Job Scope:

  • Execute local market plans to support field-based priorities

  • Educate on local health policy, reimbursement, billing/coding, and patient access issues

  • Collaborate with field partners to alleviate reimbursement and access issues impacting physician offices

  • Work with access services hub, managed markets team, and local field sales teams

  • Monitor national and local healthcare payer policies

  • Develop relationships with key advocacy leaders and state societies

  • Provide direct support to prescribing physicians, hospitals, and support staff regarding reimbursement and product access issues


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximize access to Sun products by understanding and addressing dynamic marketplace trends

  • Have a deep understanding of medical vs pharmacy benefit and policies

  • Understand the dynamics of specialty pharmacy and specialty distribution

  • Establish alternative sites of care to support patient access

  • Possess expertise in Medicare policies and variations within all parts of Medicare

  • Communicate effectively with sales teams to ensure clarity of reimbursement and access issues

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of Sun products and their reimbursement processes

  • Regularly communicate with managers and support teams

  • Participate in national, regional, and district meetings and conventions when requested

  • Ensure compliance with Healthcare Compliance guidelines


Job Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Experience: 5+ years of healthcare industry experience, including:

    • 3+ years of experience in insurance verification, claim adjudication, billing, medical benefit procurement, and understanding of various payer models (Commercial, Government, Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare)

    • Experience in Dermatology and/or Oncology is a plus

  • Additional Skills:

    • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

    • Ability to manage competing priorities

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Strong presentation and analytical skills

    • Experience in Sun Pharma’s therapeutic areas (Dermatology, Oncology, Biologics) preferred
