Job Purpose:

Enhance customer experiences by identifying pressing healthcare needs and providing optimal pharmaceutical solutions that align with corporate goals. Develop a sales strategy based on market research and trends to achieve individual and collective sales targets. Engage with designated doctors in your territory, promote our products, and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders such as healthcare professionals, paramedics, retailers, and stockists, all while adhering to Lilly's compliance guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Territory Planning:

  • Develop a comprehensive territory business plan that strategically allocates goals and resources, while monitoring progress.
  • Refresh and update the Market Contact List (MCL) based on Retail Call Audits and market analysis, preparing a retail call list for key retailers.
  • Create a patch plan that considers customer availability and prioritize business opportunities accordingly.
  • Track and analyze weekly sales data to identify trends and adjust plans as necessary to meet targets.

Product Promotion and Education:

  • Clearly communicate the therapeutic benefits and value propositions of Lilly's biopharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals and customers.
  • Conduct product presentations, educational seminars, and training sessions to enhance customer understanding and usage of our offerings.
  • Stay informed on the latest scientific and clinical data relevant to your therapeutic area and share this information with customers.
  • Provide scientific support and respond to inquiries from healthcare professionals, addressing their concerns accurately.

Conducting Customer Calls:

  • Meet the required number of customer interactions as per SPP targets and planned calls. Gather insights on product trends and competitor activities.
  • Ensure compliance on calls through effective pre-call planning, setting objectives tailored to customer needs, and conducting post-call analyses in an approved CRM tool.
  • Utilize sales materials to address customer inquiries and concerns effectively.
  • Strengthen relationships with all stakeholders and achieve assigned sales targets.

Customer Engagement:

  • Develop a quarterly engagement plan for doctors, conducting programs and managing related logistics.
  • Create and implement effective communication strategies in various settings.
  • Identify speakers and audiences for programs, ensuring timely documentation and certifications.
  • Conduct awareness programs for retailers and paramedic staff, adhering to compliance guidelines.

Stockist Management:

  • Regularly engage with stockists to strengthen relationships and analyze weekly sales trends, ensuring accurate stock verification.
  • Balance first-line and second-line sales in line with company guidelines.
  • Coordinate order placements and ensure availability at various retailers.
  • Identify new stockists and propose them to the Area Sales Manager.

Sales Reporting:

  • Timely report on all doctor and retailer interactions.
  • Document details of conducted programs and medical service requests from doctors.
  • Present sales trends in monthly business reviews.

Compliance:

  • Adhere to internal and external procedures regarding privacy and ethics, upholding the highest standards of integrity.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year (for Territory Manager) or 3-5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, ideally in biopharmaceuticals or specialty therapeutics.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth; MNC experience preferred.
  • Prior on-field experience is advantageous.
