The Opportunity

We are seeking an innovative leader to serve as Translational and Precision Medicine (TPM) Disease Area Head in Immuno-oncology. This pivotal role focuses on shaping the strategic direction of TPM efforts to advance Teva’s Immuno-oncology portfolio, harnessing state-of-the-art research to optimize drug development success.

As the head of the TPM team, you will lead translational science, biomarker development, and precision medicine studies, collaborating across discovery, preclinical, and clinical teams.

This role is a unique chance to drive cutting-edge cancer treatments and expand Teva's presence in the Immuno-oncology space.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Oversee Drug Development: Guide TPM efforts from first-in-human trials to post-approval stages to de-risk and optimize outcomes.

  • Strategic Direction: Develop and execute the TPM strategy for Immuno-oncology, ensuring alignment with Teva’s objectives.

  • Team Leadership: Manage a team specializing in Translational Science, Clinical Biomarkers, and Precision Medicine, fostering collaboration and excellence.

Research & Development:

  • Biomarker Innovation: Lead development of molecular, histologic, and digital biomarkers to correlate with drug response and safety.

  • Clinical Studies: Design, execute, and interpret early-phase clinical studies, adhering to scientific, ethical, and regulatory standards.

  • Endpoints & Stratification: Develop novel clinical endpoints and strategies for patient stratification.

Collaboration & External Engagement:

  • Partner with preclinical and clinical teams to accelerate drug candidates.

  • Interact with regulatory authorities and contribute to regulatory submissions.

  • Build relationships with academic institutions, patient groups, and industry partners, presenting findings at global conferences.


Qualifications and Experience

Education:

  • M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. with specialization in Pharmacology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or related fields.

Experience:

  • 7–10 years in early clinical research and drug development, with expertise in Translational and Precision Medicine and Oncology.

  • 2+ years of managerial experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industries.

Technical Expertise:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of clinical development, study design, and biomarker sciences.

  • Familiarity with ICH, GCP, and GLP guidelines.

  • Board certification or eligibility in oncology preferred.

Skills:

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.

  • Proven track record in project and team management.

  • Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills in a fast-paced environment.


Role Location & Travel

  • Hybrid work model: 3 days in-office (Parsippany, NJ) and 2 days remote weekly.

  • Travel: 10–20% for scientific meetings, collaborations, and key opinion leader engagements.
