Position Title: Director of Marketing & Communications

Location: Remote (US-based)

Position Summary: The Director of Marketing & Communications will lead the global brand strategy and recognition for our pharmaceutical and therapeutic products. This role demands a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, market dynamics, and customer pain points to drive innovative growth strategies. The Director will work closely with various stakeholders, including sales, medical, scientific strategy, market access, and leadership, to challenge the status quo and shape effective marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brand Positioning and Strategy:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with business objectives for pharma and therapies.
    • Maintain a strong brand presence consistent with corporate values and market positioning.
    • Oversee vendor relationships, manage budgets, and ensure maximum impact and ROI for marketing activities.
    • Communicate the value proposition and differentiation through effective storytelling and marketing campaigns.
    • Translate customer insights into actionable initiatives to support acquisition and retention.
  • Marketing Campaigns and Execution:

    • Design and execute marketing campaigns across digital, traditional, and other relevant channels to effectively reach target customers.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to enhance marketing strategies.
    • Build and sustain relationships with Business and Marketing partners to drive collaboration and solutions-oriented approaches.
    • Engage with KOLs and thought leaders to build credibility and foster product advocacy.
    • Represent the brand at conferences and key meetings, managing marketing and sales activities.
  • Product Launches:

    • Lead Go-to-Market (GTM) activities, including the creation of promotional materials and market research.
    • Ensure alignment of marketing initiatives with organizational goals through collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Skills and Attributes:

    • Self-starter with the ability to balance short-term needs with long-term priorities and manage multiple projects.
    • Proficient in translating strategy into actionable tactics.
    • Strong project management and vendor/agency management skills.
    • Comfortable handling clinical and complex information.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience in product launches and a practice-centric mindset.
    • High energy, creativity, and ability to multitask effectively.
    • Entrepreneurial spirit and nature.
  • Education and Experience:

    • 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical and biotech marketing; experience in oncology preferred.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
    • Proven experience in product launches and pharmaceutical/biotech/field sales management.
    • Broad industry knowledge and experience through career progression preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a home-based position located in the US.
  • Occasional travel within the US and internationally is required, estimated at 40% or less.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods at a desk.
