Role Overview

We are seeking a Development Scientist I to join our R&D team, specializing in Flow Cytometry. You will play a vital role in developing immunophenotyping panels, including feasibility studies, protocol development, and analytical testing for multicolor panels targeting leukemia and lymphoma.

This position requires expertise in flow cytometry fundamentals, data analysis, assay optimization, and problem-solving to ensure consistent and cost-effective production processes in compliance with GMP manufacturing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Research and Development:

    • Conduct feasibility studies and develop flow cytometry immunophenotyping products.
    • Perform single-color and multicolor flow cytometry assays, including sample preparation, acquisition, data analysis, and interpretation.
    • Optimize and troubleshoot assays while identifying root causes of issues.
  • Data and Documentation:

    • Manage routine data collection, analysis, and reporting to supervisors or technical leads.
    • Prepare high-quality technical documents, reports, and presentations.
    • Maintain organized laboratory notebooks per regulatory guidelines.
  • Cross-Functional Support:

    • Collaborate with project planners to manage inventory requirements.
    • Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory guidelines for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
    • Support post-launch activities to resolve performance and quality issues.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:

    • Strictly follow quality and regulatory standards in the development process.
    • Comply with all Federal, State, and local regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Educational Background:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Immunology, Cell Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
    • 3–5 years of relevant experience in industrial or clinical settings.
  • Technical Expertise:

    • Experience in flow cytometry, including sample preparation, acquisition, assay optimization, and data analysis.
    • Knowledge of immunophenotyping and assay development techniques.
  • Additional Skills:

    • Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and problem-solving.
    • Ability to create technical reports and presentations.
    • Adherence to GMP manufacturing and regulatory standards.
