Job Title: Deputy Manager - Quality Assurance

Location: Zirakpur, Chandigarh, India


Job Overview

The Deputy Manager - Quality Assurance will be responsible for ensuring that all internal and external processes and systems are followed before products reach consumers. This role involves inspecting procedures, reviewing QMS documents and outputs, and identifying non-conformity issues. The Deputy Manager will work closely with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met.


Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Process Management

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards in internal processes and external vendor operations.
  • Inspect and monitor procedures to identify areas for improvement and ensure conformity with regulations and standards.
  • Review and approve QMS documents and outputs to ensure they meet the necessary requirements.
  • Identify non-conformities and take appropriate actions to resolve them.
  • Ensure that all products meet safety and quality standards before reaching customers.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Work with the QA team, Supply Chain, R&D, Sales & Marketing, and other stakeholders to ensure effective quality management.
  • Coordinate with CFAs, third-party vendors, and hubs to manage quality control across the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate IT team and Corporate Compliance IT team to ensure smooth operation of quality systems.

Compliance & Auditing

  • Monitor third-party manufacturing sites for adherence to quality standards.
  • Conduct audits of formulation manufacturing sites to ensure compliance with regulations and internal processes.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for quality assurance activities.
  • Ensure timely reporting of findings and resolution of issues to management.

Qualifications

  • Educational Requirements: B.Sc, B. Pharma, or M.Sc.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-7 years in QA/QC/Microbiology, with experience working on the shop floor as IPQA/QC or monitoring third-party manufacturing sites. Experience auditing formulation manufacturing sites is desirable.
