About the Job

Join Sanofi’s Risk-Based Monitoring (RBM) team, where we take an adaptive approach to clinical trial monitoring by focusing on critical data and processes that significantly impact patient safety and data quality. The RBM team designs, executes, and optimizes Sanofi's RBM methodologies to meet regulatory requirements while enhancing the quality, efficiency, and speed of clinical trials.

As a Data Scientist (DS), you will configure and manage RBM applications for assigned studies, ensure smooth data flow, and collaborate closely with Central Monitors and Lead Data Scientists. Main Responsibilities

  • Data Extraction and Processing:
    Extract and preprocess data from various systems to support accurate and reliable monitoring processes.

  • Dashboard Management:
    Set up and update Key Risk Indicator (KRI), Data Quality Assessment (DQA), Quality Tolerance Limits (QTL), and SPOT dashboards, ensuring precision and adherence to timelines and standards.

  • Script Execution and Updates:
    Execute and modify SAS or Python scripts, adapting parameters to study-specific needs.

  • Collaborative Problem-Solving:
    Analyze and explain results and signals effectively, working in close collaboration with Central Monitors and Lead Data Scientists to optimize RBM activities.


About You

Experience

  • Proven experience in clinical research within a CRO or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Strong expertise in clinical data programming (SAS, Python, R, etc.).

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in SAS programming, with the ability to develop scripts from scratch.
  • Experience executing and updating Python scripts to adapt to study needs.
  • Basic understanding of clinical documents like Protocols, SDS, and CRFs.
  • Ability to acquire and apply new technical skills quickly.

Soft Skills

  • Critical thinker who approaches problems pragmatically and effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities.
  • Adaptable and quick learner in dynamic environments.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a life sciences or mathematics-related field (e.g., computer science).

Languages

  • Fluency in written and spoken English with the ability to collaborate effectively in a global environment.
