Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Customer Support Specialist to join our CPAP Centralized Care Team. This remote position will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients, referral sources, and internal employees, while supporting tasks related to patient care and third-party reimbursement. The role includes intake of new orders, verifying clinical, billing, and care-related information, and processing documents to ensure smooth customer interactions and satisfaction.

This is a second shift position with the opportunity to work from home starting on Day 1. You will play a key role as the first point of contact for new customers, ensuring they receive the highest level of care and support.


Responsibilities

  • Order Processing & Intake: Collect, verify, and enter patient and referral information into our proprietary system (eIntake), ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Insurance Verification: Conduct insurance eligibility checks and ensure necessary authorization and documentation are in place for services/products.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional service by responding to patient and referral source inquiries, resolving issues, and offering product education.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all patient interactions and data entry meet company standards for accuracy and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Patient Satisfaction: Perform patient satisfaction calls, advocate for patients to resolve concerns, and provide product/service information.
  • Documentation: Prepare complete and accurate files for the Billing Department and process work orders to field locations for timely product fulfillment.
  • Collaboration: Build strong relationships with internal teams, locations, and field management to ensure smooth operations and patient satisfaction.
  • Compliance: Stay current on industry regulations (Medicare, Medicaid, insurance guidelines) and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive patient information.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in customer service, preferably in the medical or healthcare field.

  • Skills:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing practices
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
    • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized
    • Strong problem-solving skills with a sense of urgency and responsiveness
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Technical Requirements:

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
    • Comfortable using email, fax, and other office equipment
    • Ability to navigate and use cloud-based systems and proprietary software

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
  • Extensive sitting and use of computer for prolonged periods
  • Close vision required for working with small print on computer and paperwork
