Role Overview

The Curriculum Developer at Veeva will play a key role in creating technical and administrator training content for Veeva’s customers, partners, and employees. This role is focused on developing engaging, clear, and effective learning experiences that span various delivery formats, from instructor-led to e-learning. You will be expected to translate complex technical concepts into easily digestible training, while working collaboratively with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and relevance.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in curriculum development for SaaS products and instructional design, particularly with technical and software systems. You will be immersed in Veeva’s technology and continuously learn and evolve as our products and solutions expand.


Key Responsibilities

  • Research & Analysis: Conduct research to understand learner needs and role contexts, applying adult learning theory to develop relevant and engaging training content.
  • Content Development: Design, write, and build interactive training materials such as instructor-led content, e-learning modules, videos, and hands-on labs using modern authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, TechSmith Camtasia).
  • Curriculum Management: Oversee the entire curriculum development process, from initial analysis to design, development, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with SMEs and stakeholders to ensure the technical accuracy of content, validate learning objectives, and integrate feedback.
  • Technical Expertise: Build a deep understanding of Veeva products and underlying technologies to become an expert in one or more areas.
  • Assessment Development: Create knowledge-based, skill-based, and performance-based assessments to evaluate learning outcomes.
  • Training Delivery: Lead internal and external "first-teach" sessions, including Train-the-Trainer programs, to ensure effective adoption of the curriculum.
  • Lab Environments: Collaborate with technical teams to set up and maintain lab environments for hands-on training exercises.
  • Project Management: Partner with project managers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of training content, meeting deadlines and project goals.
  • Innovation: Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve training delivery methods and strategies.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in curriculum development, with a focus on writing technical or administrator training content for software products.
  • Skills: Proficiency in modern authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Camtasia) and learning management systems. Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the life sciences industry, specifically pharmacovigilance, drug safety, or regulatory compliance.
  • Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility: Strong ability to adapt and pivot when needed, with a proactive attitude toward taking on new challenges.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

  • Advanced Education: Master's degree in Instructional Design or a related field.
  • Certifications: Instructional design or curriculum development certifications (e.g., ATD, CPTD).
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with safety data management systems and regulatory frameworks like GxP and ICH guidelines.
  • Product Knowledge: Experience with Veeva products or similar SaaS platforms in the life sciences space.
  • Portfolio: A shareable work portfolio showcasing previously developed training materials.

Compensation

Base Salary: $65,000 - $140,000
The salary range listed is provided to comply with local regulations. Actual salaries may vary depending on experience, location, and qualifications. Additional compensation may be available, such as bonuses and stock options.
