About the OncoImmuno Internship Program:
The OncoImmuno Summer Intern Program at Johnson & Johnson offers undergraduate and graduate students an immersive experience in pharmaceutical R&D. This full-time, 3-month internship (May 12 – August 15, 2025) is designed to build a pipeline of future talent across various functions, such as clinical pharmacology, regulatory affairs, and portfolio asset management, while providing a hands-on understanding of drug development in oncology and immunology.

Interns will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid model, reporting on-site 3 times a week and working remotely 2 times a week, depending on the location and the nature of the work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain hands-on experience in clinical research and drug development, including GCPs, ICH guidelines, and SOPs.
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings and shadow key functional roles.
  • Collaborate on projects across various departments, including clinical pharmacology, global medical safety, trial management, regulatory affairs, and more.
  • Present your work to senior leadership and at the research symposium at the end of the internship.
  • Contribute to the development of novel oncology and immunology therapeutics through support of Phase I-III clinical studies.

Functional Areas for Internship Opportunities:

  1. Clinical Pharmacology & Pharmacometrics (CPP): Support clinical pharmacology methods, perform PK/PD data analysis, and optimize drug development strategies.
  2. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Clinical Trials (DEICT): Assist with the development of DEICT strategies, help increase diverse trial enrollment, and track progress of diversity initiatives.
  3. Global Medical Safety: Contribute to safety surveillance, review safety data, and support clinical trials.
  4. Trial Management: Engage in trial execution, study tracking, and assist with data reporting.
  5. Portfolio Asset Management: Analyze data, contribute to clinical site engagement, and support portfolio management.
  6. Regulatory Affairs: Conduct research, assist with regulatory submission preparation, and support cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. with no sponsorship required.
  • Undergraduate students: Must have completed at least four semesters of college.
  • Graduate students: Must be pursuing a master's, PharmD, or PhD degree.
  • Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Must be currently enrolled in a relevant program, such as biology, chemistry, clinical pharmacology, pre-med, health sciences, public health, or related fields.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a global matrixed team and balance multiple projects.
